A great pattern. I made it in 2004 while I was stationed at Keflavik. I love Lopi!
Very clear instructions, a pattern that is achievable even when your knitting skills are limited to just the knit and purl stitches! I used YouTube tutorials for help and slightly modified the pattern by reducing the length of the ribbing. I also added 4 rows to the back of the neckline, otherwise, the front and back would have been identical.
I am very happy with the result.
This sweater is a really fun knitting experience. A real attention grabber, even in the more subtle colour way of blues, cream and grey. Comfortable and warm too!
I am midway in the yoke of the sweater and have enjoyed the knit and the yarn . I will be trying more patterns and yarn.

Lovely textured sweater pattern. I knitted my first Icelandic sweater last year and found the pattern so easy to follow that I now buy any of the patterns I like the look of.
As a beginner knitter the clarity of these patterns gives me so much confidence to tackle garments.
