Description

"Gjöf," meaning "gift" or "present" in Icelandic, is a pattern created by Védís Jónsdóttir for Nordic Craft Week. It features Léttlopi yarn and comes in both white and black versions.

Note

Body and sleeves are worked in the round from lower edge to underarms, then joined to work yoke in the round.

Gauge

18 sts and 24 rnds = 10 x 10 cm in St st using 4.5 mm needles.

Needles

Circular needles 4.5 mm, 40 and 80 cm
Circular needle 3.5 mm, 80 cm
Double pointed needles 4.5 and 3.5 mm
Darning needle

Not for me

Started this pattern and ended up unravelling all the way down. So appointed. Felt it would have worked better as a top down. Can Lettlopi look to doing this please.

Lot of people are knitting our pattern top down but we recommend to knit them the traditional way as the pattern is written.
